Achievements

Dr. Bhagya Murthy has received the prestigious "Singaara Puraskara" conferred on her by Kannada Sangha, Singapore, for her lifetime achievement in the field of carnatic music.

She has performed extensively in India, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Cambodia, UK and USA. She has sung in various local concerts and festivals.

In 2015, she was conferred the title of Honorary Doctorate by an established music organisation in Sri Lanka.

Dr Bhagya has rendered vocal support for over 400 Bharatanatyam arangetrams (classical Indian dance graduation concert).

In 2015, to celebrate the evolution of indian classical music in Singapore, Dr. Bhagya, along with 17 other music artists and 32 choral team members came together to pay homage to the pioneers who have contributed to the arts in Singapore. Dr. Bhagya has received several awards like 'Singai Gamma', 'Geetha Kala Nipuna', 'Gaana Kogile', 'Sangeetha Saraswathy', 'Nada Nidhi', and �Kala Ratna� to name a few.

The latest in the list is that, she is conferred with "OUTSTANDING PIONEER LADY" of Singapore by the Women's wing of Lisha, a vibrant leading organisation of Singapore.
